I have been trying for 9 years to get my disabled widow’s benefits. I have been denied and appealed to death!

Medical evidence says I have degenerated disks disease with depression and qualify, yet it has never been reviewed by a medical doctor. I will be 60 this Christmas but I have already lost my business, house and vehicle. I will only receive 71.5% of my late husband's lifetime contributions.

The rules are ridiculous and greedy on ss part! Who is the next level of complaint to go to??

You can contact one of the many attorneys advertising on local TV stations but be careful and make sure you don't give them any money up front to represent you with SSA. You might also try this: contact your local congressman who can file what's called a "congressional" with SSA asking for more info and help on your particular case.

Federal agencies treat these congressional inquiries seriously and you might get some answers, etc.

thru the congressman's help. I would try this option before anything else.

Did all that. Absolutely no help there either!

Called ss headquarters in Baltimore and was told I could sue, file a formal complaint or anything else I thought I needed to do, but they just “didn’t have enough money to pay me anything that far back”.

Interesting conversation to say the least! Where did my late husband’s money go??
