Apply for medicare Part B

I have applied for Medicare Part B by working to the field office in Owings mills MD. The lady told me that I will receive my Medicare Part B card in 4 weeks. After 6 weeks of waiting with no success I have called to SSA 800 number and lady on the phone told me that I have to wait 60 days. Today 9/4/2015 (seven weeks waiting) I walked again to SSA field office to find out the status of my application. Gentlemen (Mr. Merk or Berk) told me That my application even has not been submitted. He submit my application again and told me that I need to wait 3-4 weeks. This time I am not sure what really happen. I really need my medicare card part B.

I aas speaking for or on behalf of my husband as he hard of hearing we asked repeatedly for an I.D. numbrt.

The 1st. A woman by the name of Marie and after she hung up . She REFUSED TO give a Last name. His name is Bryan he REFUSED TO give his LAST NAME or to repeathis first name and he slurred his LAST NAME he claimed he WAS A supervisor and my question is superior of WHAT?

?? Superior's DON'T ANSWER phone's and my husband SAID FOR THEM to let ME TALK TO them on speaker PHONE! !! They SAID they were not going to let ME speak or OUR daughter was trying to help and they BOTH WERE argumentative, smart mouthed people who BY the way work for all of my family member living HERE.

..all these people did was order my husband to die was TO take the PHONE OFF speaker or they would hang up which they've BOTH DONE ON US! ! They were rude uncoperable our tax dollars are going to PAY their salary and NOT to get the KIND OF treatment with me and my husband. That BEING said we will find a way to file a DIRECT complaint with all of these people's suervisors.

This kind of treatment is unacceptable and IF IT IS YOUR policy they need to know that they NEED TO change it. ..

A VERY upset DISABLED person who has worked for what WE HAVE earned TO BE treated by THESE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN WAY OUT OF LINE with him and myself..

This occurred at approximately 6:00-6:30 p.m. central time.

Your entire complaint doesn't make any sense. The fact that you and your husband insisted on having the phone on speaker shows that you were being as uncooperative as you say the SS employees were.

More than likely the reason they didn't want you to have the phone on speaker is for confidentiality. They had no way of knowing who all was in your home and they also didn't have any way of proving that the number of people you said was the truth. You should be thankful they are concerned about confidentiality. You say your husband is hard of hearing, doesn't he have a hearing aid?

You can also increase the volume on the handset of a phone so that the voice coming into it is louder. Maybe if you were more considerate to the employees, you would get the same kind of treatment in turn.

If you are on SSI you and your husband are limited in the amount of both of your incomes. I think couples are allowed 1300 total income including SSI, SSDI, or any income you receive.

You are also limited in your assets. You cant have more than 2000 in the bank

Ooooohhhh. Update on the ppl sitting in jail and continuing to draw their disability.

One person in particular that i know just went to jail again on *** and cocaine charges. Shes still drawing her full disability. Yet i know other ppl that got their disability cut off because they didnt keep their contact info updated.

Have screenshots of this girls mugshots from her crime spree since 2013. Email me at sergiosandoval183@***.com

Guest

But they'll allow people to sit in jail on felony drug charges and continue drawing their benefits. Know of more than one case in my state. Go figure.

Guest

The amount of SSI a person receives depends on the total amount of income in the home. IF you accurately described the situation, you are actually better off having it done this way, than have Social Security wait until the end of the year and send you a letter saying you have to pay back a larger amount. Maybe it is time for you to look for a cheaper rental unit that you can afford.

Don't bother with Medicare 800 call: Staff misleading and rude; Why are we even paying them?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
When we tried to coverage information for my elderly mother via the 800 number, the Medicare representative hung up on me as well as my insurance representative; separate calls. I was in the middle of a sentence explaining the statute to the rep that allows special enrollment period applicable to my mom. As I stared at the Medicare website, she kept telling me it contained limitation language that does not exist on the page. I was prepared to engage in a discussion and was seeking information. She wanted nothing more than to get off the phone. My first clue should have been when she answered my call (after a fairly short wait) and just said brusquely, "Hello." No name, no "social security administration," just Hello (with an implied "why the F are you bothering me?") I don't know why we're paying these folks. The man who hung up on my insurance agent yesterday did so as she was thanking him for his time. I'm sure they have a tough job, but (a) the rep was wrong about available coverage (I've read the statute) and (b) their rudeness likely makes it rougher. If another option existed, I'd take it in a heartbeat and trash Medicare.

Medicare reps are rude

Guest

I've spoke with 2 different reps at Medicare the first was professional, courteous and helpful. The 2nd one acted as if I should know all the "ins and outs" of Medicare and she quickly read off the website to me what I could have done myself.

I found her rude and she seemed annoyed upon me asking her to speak slower to me.

Hope someone gives her the same attitude when she is seeking out advise. They need to monitor their conversations at Medicare.

Social Security Administration - Social Security Benefits Review from Oroville, California

A Social Security Representative lied to me. She told me that my son and my social security benefits were combined into one check.

This caused me not to receive my young mothers benifits for 16 years. My husband had to have brain surgery and is very disabled. Because he was disabled we were entitled to our family maximum benefis. We never received our full benefits because the rep.

Lied to me to defraud me from receiving my benefits. She knew i qualified for benefits because i had just had our son and i was not working.

Rude Agent on Social Security phone call 800-772-****

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Social Security agents are so rude, arrogant, and entitled. I requested a callback when the hold recording said the wait would be longer than I could wait. The agent who called back only knew one line. "we have nothing to do with that". I explained that it was the SSA.GOV website that won't let me log in or recover my password and I need to know how to recover the password with email or by mail. She repeated "we don't have xxx" . I told her that you do . This is your website and you control access. She claimed it was information that is sent to the credit reporting bureau's and my login info has to match. this is a blatant lie. They do not coordinate login information for the SSA.GOV website. I confronted her and she continuously interupted me arguing. If this was the private sector she would be out of a job. Rude, unprofessional, unwilling to listen. They sound like the VA. Lucky they can't kill people by being unwilling to care for them. Although if people don't get their check, i'm guessing there will be problems getting food and housing.

"Statement of Case"

I wanted to address the statement, "The severity of the claimants mental impairments, are

considered singly and in combination, do not meet medically equal criteria of listing 12.04 or

12.06. Page4. (Paragraph 3). This is false, due to the fact that when I was questioned by the

Judge, I told him, I missed 2 consecutive weeks of therpy, due to a bad reaction I had from Zoloft

that the Pcp, had perscribed. This should be on record. This not only qualifys me for disabilitylisting in two ways. 1. I was decomposed due to not being able to control my anxiety, thus causing

me to miss 2 full weeks of rehab.

2.Judge acknowledges my mental issues he read from a state mental facility,

yet he undermined my condition as,"A snap shot in time". When I specifically, stated that I have

been taking various anxiety meds dating back to the early 2000 to 2001,in which its never been

totally controlled. I was then, and now take several panic meds.

Page 4.(Paragraph4)The judge stated, that I lived alone, performed household chores, such as

taking out the trash, vaccumming(I have hard wood floors), preparing meals, washing clothes,so on

and so forth. When I specifically stated, That I have a home health aid to assist me who does my

chores, shopping, so on, so forth."I informed the Judge that I tried to take the trash out at

times, per the "Doctors Orders" due to the knee replacement to keep it from becoming stiff.

The interjection is of a personal observational of Abuse of Authority" The Judge appointed, the

VE,Dianne G. Smith. I assumed he knew her personally, by the way he was in her defence, when my

Representative, Sherrell Rodgers tried to cross examine her, The Judge,Jumped all over her,

Telling her(Sherrell Rodgers) that Ms.Dianne G. Smith, gave a suitable answer. but in reality,My

representative didn't have a fair chance at questioning the VE's assessments of my abilities.

According to my research, A remanded case is structured and uphelp by very strict laws and

provisions.

When my Representative inquired about the specific jobs I could perform, per Ms. Dianne

Smiths Opinion, Ms. Smith could not back up her suggestions in any DOT,Or any legal binding

document. She was asked, Where did she obtain those particular ideas that I could perform the work

she mentioned? Ms. Smith didn't have a clue or any legal grounds to subject her opinion.

Mainly, because she knew the information she supplied in case, based on her 30 years of

working in different environments. I never did get a clear picture of how she imposed her own

personal experiences in reference to my abilites. Is it not law, that the judge question the VEs

source of reference in it entirety? I am sueing this judge on the grounds of falsly misquoting, or

omitting valuable testimony on my behalf, for allowing the VE'S statement to be bond,Also for

being very disrespectful to my Representative during the whole duration of the proceeding March

29, 2014. He also started an hour late, and was rushing my representative to hurry up and finish.

This issue needs to be brought to justice, mainly because I have several disabling

conditions, and because off the Judges abuse of Power and Authority, I have to continue to suffer

and wait day after day, due to him having the final say.One other issue before I close, I noticed

thAT The Judge, didn't mention in his rejection letter about my about to start going to A pain

specialist, he did acknowledge it in the proceeding. Since, I have been denied, I not only got to

the Pain Specialist, but I acquired insurance and I also see a new mental health professional.

the federal civil rights law? Title 42 U.S. Code § 1983 reads as follows:

Every person who, under color of any statute, ordinance, regulation, custom, or usage, of any

State or Territory, subjects, or causes to be subjected, any citizen of the United States or other

person within the jurisdiction thereof to the deprivation of any rights, privileges, or immunities

secured by the Constitution and laws, shall be liable to the party injured in an action at law,

suit in equity, or other proper proceeding for redress.

The first ten amendments of the Bill of Rights are self explanatory. Violations of any of the

rights described in these amendments give rise to causes of action, both against state judges

under Title 42 U.S.C. § 1983 and arguably against federal judges in Bivens actions

"Prayer for Relief."

Successful use of these suits has been made to nullify attachments, end incarcerations, declare

laws or court practices unconstitutional and scare the heck out of black robed tyrants with

gavels. See Pulliam v. Allen, 466 U.S. 522 (****).

Wherefore plaintiff prays this Court issue equitable relief as follows:

1. Issue injunctive relief commanding defendant to . . .

2. Issue declaratory relief as this Court deems appropriate just.

3. Issue other relief as this Court deems appropriate and just.

Have you tried prayer? Maybe you can pray for divine intervention to let you win the Publishers Clearing House Superprize.

Then you will really be getting "Money For Nothing" and you will have all kinds of chicks wanting to be with you because you will have lots and lots of money instead of being on the dole and receiving money equal to someone who works part time for minimum wage.

Hey, somebody has got to win the Superprize and it might as well be you. Good Luck, My Friend.

Rude is an understatement in Knoxville, Nashville, and National

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Let me start off by saying that I receive an SSI check for my Autistic son who also has sensory processing issues. I recently moved and have called around 5 or 6 times in the last 3 months to change my address with them. Everytime I have called either the Knoxville, TN or Nashville, TN office they are rude and disrespectful. Not only do they blow off your questions there attitudes when answering your questions make you feel like you are stupid for asking them. Everytime I would call them and ask them why the letters and his check were still going to my old address they always told me it takes 30 days for all information to update in their system, even if I called to change it five or six weeks prior. At one point when I called to ask about my address yet again I asked her why I was only getting $480 a month when I have had to quit my job to stay home with him and I also have two other children to take care of. She responded with, " honestly you're lucky to get that seeing as you and your kids still live with your mother." I have never been so offended in my entire life. She had no idea who I was or what I've been through to land me in the position, at 26, to have to move back home.

That brings me to today. I received another letter at my old address so i called the Nashville, TN office to ask why my address hadn't been updated yet. While she was looking at it she said, "oh wow, that's not good." That's not really something you want to hear when you dealing with the government. She proceeded to tell me that they had denied my review and the $480 that was deposited in my account was deposited by mistake. After i informed her that i had already withdrawn all of it to pay rent and pick up a few groceries she told me i needed to get the money back ASAP or i would end up in big trouble and would have to pay it all back. Im not gonna lie, I was shocked, but it made it worse with her attitude and the fact that everytime I tried to ask a question she interrupted me by saying the exact same thing, "you have to call the Knoxville location, I just can't help you." I couldn't believe it, I had called to ask why my address still hadn't been changed and she pretty much told me that it doesn't matter anyways because they had canceled my case. I hung up and with hopes and dreams I went to the Internet for help so I hopefully didn't have to deal with those people anymore, I was already on edge. As I was searching through the SSA website I got a phone call from my DHS case worker saying she was reviewing my case and wanted to know why I only get $480 a month when most of her clients get around $700 and she has never seen anyone get below $600.

Since I couldn't find anything on the Web and had to call the Knoxville location to ask if my case was canceled anyways I decided I would inquire about this as well.the first gentle man I talked to seemed ok at first until he told me to be quite and let him talk. While he was verifying my identity he asked me to verify my address, I explained the situation to him and he assured me it was changed this time, unfortunately I found out later that nothing with Social Security is instantaneous. I then asked him if my case had indeed been canceled and he told me that he had no idea what that lady was talking about, she must be new. Although that did lift a huge weight off my shoulders I was still very aggravated with everything I had to already deal with today. After he told me that my case was still open it was just pending he tried to get off the phone, and seemed aggravated when i told him i had another question. I proceeeded to asked him about why the amount he receives is so low he looked at my file for a minute and he reminded me that if I didn't still live with my mother and paid my own bills I would probably get more. I bit my tounge and told him that I live on my own now and my bills do get paid. He responded with, "well why haven't you changed your address before today?" Good Lord do these people ever listen to anything you say? I went on to have a 10 minute conversation with him about how I have been calling for over three months trying to change it with him doing nothing but trying to hurry me off the phone and arguing with everything I said. Apparently he had enough of actually having to work so he transfered me to who he said was a supervisor who deals with questions like the ones I had. As soon as she picked up the phone my landlord knocked on the door to come over and look at my AC unit. I quickly told him it was in the hall, luckily I still had my phone to my ear so I could hear her say, " can I help you with something or can I go so you can talk to them?" We were definitely getting off on the wrong foot. I explained to her about the problems I was having with my address change, which she never addressed, and then I went on to tell her about the conversation I had with DHS earlier in the day and asked why my check is so low. And once again she reminded me that I live with my mother and don't pay any bills so I shouldn't expect to get more than that. REALLY!!!! They should of had in there records that even when I was living with my mother I paid $500-$600 a month to help with expenses. She then told me my case has been pending for three months and she would call me back next week and let me know if they need me to send anything in. I can't tell how much I am not looking forward to that conversation.

If i hadn't had enough of having to deal with social security already, I got a letter in the mail today saying that my son's insurance had been switched from United health care to medicare since hes on social security. Wondering why his new insurance card didn't come with the letter, I called medicare to ask them when i could expect this and they said that I would have to call the National Social Security office to see what kind of Medicare he has and then they would send me the card. I called them . Of course they have to ask you a few questions to verify your identity. When it came to the address question, once again, I tried to explain to her about the problems i had been having getting my address changed, she didn't even acknowledge I was speaking and asked for my address again in a very stern tone, so i told her it is either [my new one] or my [old one] she informed me that the records showed my old one. So once again she tried to change it. However, for some reason she did know what month I moved and what my lot number was which is a little weird to me that they had that information but not the street address. She told me I had to go to my local office to change it and I had to take my lease with me for proof of address. As I was in the middle of me telling her that I misplaced my lease and was gonna ask if an electric bill would be ok she rudely interrupted me and in a forceful and aggravated tone said, "I said you have to bring your lease other wise your wasting your and their time" I let that comment go because after over three months of dealing with them I was used to there "better than everyone" attitude. I responded with, "fine, well what's going on with his insurance?" She then proceeded to tell me that there was a lapse in his insurance because I didn't call and change the address in time. This is when I could not contain myself anymore. I asked her, "how is it that you are saying that I haven't changed my address, which is calling me a liar, but for some weird reason you knew the month I moved and my lot number. So how exactly did you know that if I never called and told you all?" After a brief pause she snapped back and said, "I'm just telling you that we have no records of you calling." I had enough at this point so I snapped right back, "you may not have record of it but there is no other way that you would know that information if I had not called. I don't understand why my son is being punished by not being able to go to the doctor because he has no insurance because the people who work there are too lazy to get of Facebook or solitaire and do their jobs...hello...hello" she had hung up on me. I at no point yelled or cursed, I showed her the same consideration and same tone she had shown and given to me. I wish I could say that it was just today that I have came in contact with arrogant employees working for SSA, but I cant. Everytime I have ever called either of these three locations I get nothing but arrogance and aggrevation from them. Something needs to be done. This letter is in no regards directed towards the Social Security Administration as a whole, but rather towards the employees that I have encountered. If someone could please contact me with a solution to the reason I was calling in the first place it would be highly appreciated. Thank you

That is horrible. My late Mother, who was declared totally disabled by three doctors in 1977 (she was 50), spent the next five years fighting with the SSA trying to get on disability.

They would either claim they did not receive the paperwork, lose it or accuse her of "faking it".

At her last hearing, she had a complete meltdown in front of the ALJ, which scared the....you-know what out of him. A few weeks later, there was a check in her mailbox for five years worth of back disability payments.

Phone wait time

I tryed to contact social security office to change banks for my direct deposit of my ss check, first we went to the new bank and they were on hold for 45 minutes, when someone finaly ansered the phone, they pretended they could't hear her. The bank officer is a very busy person and I don't think that was called for. I felt sorry for her as other customers were waiting for her. I told her I was sorry for the rudeness she received from s s office and I told her I would call them from our home. When I got home I called the 1 800 number, I had to wait 30 minutes before I was told that if I wanted, instead of being on hold they would call me back within 31 minutes. I waited for an hour and no call back happened, so I called s s again, 1 hour and 45 minutes later I finaly had a real person on the line. I explained to her what I needed, I gave her all the id infromation she asked for, then when I gave her my routing number she insisted that it was wrong, I was reading it off one of my checks so I knew it was right, I told her that I have been receving direct deposits of my checks there for over 5 years, but she insisted I was wrong. Something has to be done about the long wait time and the people working there
